  • Candidates must meet the O’Level requirements to be admitted to the University’s first degree programs, which include earning five (5) credits in a maximum of two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from Bells University of Technology, or from another university that has been approved, with a minimum Second Class lower division in the relevant fields.
  • Graduates of Bells University of Technology, Ota, or any other reputable institution who have earned a third-class degree and a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in a management-related field

OR

  • HND holders with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Management, Finance, or Administration (from the Bells University of Technology or another accredited university) are eligible for admission, as are HND holders in related fields of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Management who also possess relevant professional credentials like ACA, ACIS, ACCA, NIM, etc.
  • Every candidate must have a minimum of one year of work experience, ideally in a managerial or administrative role.
  • It is a requirement for all applicants to perform satisfactorily on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), which is given by the Bells University of Technology, Ota.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR PH.D. PROGRAMMES:

1) Candidates must meet the “O” Level requirements, which include five (5) Credit passes in no more than two sittings in English Language and Mathematics, in order to be admitted to the University’s first-degree programs.

2) For Ph.D. Architecture, Candidates must possess:

  • A master’s degree by coursework in architecture or any other relevant field (housing, architectural science, landscape architecture, urban design, etc.) with a weighted score of not less than 60% or a CGPA of 3.5 and a thesis score not less than 60%

OR

  • a Master of Philosophy in Architecture. Candidates with a 60% or higher overall score who have a professional M.Phil, M. Arch, M. Ed, or M. Sc. (Arch) degree from an accredited university.

3) Candidates are required to submit a research proposal for review along with their application. The following criteria must be met for a candidate with an M.Phil. to be eligible to transfer to a Ph.D. program:

4) Has a CGPA in the program of at least 3.50 after completing all coursework;

5) Submits a research proposal for an architecture Ph.D. to the Postgraduate School that is deemed appropriate.

6) For Ph.D. Building Services, Candidates must possess:

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field from Bells University of Technology, or from any other institution that has been given approval, with a weighted average of at least 60%
  • Any approved university’s M.Phil. pass degree from Bells University of Technology is acceptable.
  • The Ph.D. The Building Services program is available as a completely research-based program. Candidates will need to conduct original research work in order to find solutions to problems related to the industry.

7) For Ph.D. Project Management, Candidates must possess:

  • A master’s degree from the Bells University of Technology or another approved university with a weighted average of at least 60% or an M.Phil. in engineering, environmental sciences, management, project management, or construction management technology from a reputable university.

8) For Ph.D. Electrical /Electronics Engineering, Candidates must possess:

  • a Master’s degree in a relevant field with a weighted average of 60% or higher from the Bells University of Technology or another accredited university;
  • Phil passed at Bells University or another recognized institution of higher learning.

9) For Ph.D. Mechanical Engineering, Candidates must possess:

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field from Bells University of Technology, or from any other institution that has been given approval, with a weighted average of at least 60%
  • M.Phil. pass from the Bells University of Technology or another recognized institution

10) For Ph.D. Estate Management, Candidates must possess:

  • an M.Tech. in Estate Management from Bells University of Technology, Ota, or a degree of equal standing from any other recognized university with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5.

11) For Ph.D. Biotechnology, Candidates must possess:

  • A Master’s degree in biological sciences with a weighted average of at least 60% is required. Admission consideration will also be given to applicants who have an M.Phil. in a relevant field. Candidates with master’s degree results in M.Phil. or Ph.D. will be asked to take the conversion exams for the Ph.D. Prior to enrolling in Industrial Biotechnology, M.Sc. candidates with M.Phil. or Ph.D. grades will be required to take some courses.
