FUPRE Courses and Requirements

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) is located in Delta State, Nigeria. The university was established in March 2007 by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a specialized university to produce which will churn out specialized individuals with expertise in the Oil & Gas sector in Nigeria.

Admission Requirements For Courses Offered At FUPRE

Chemistry

  1. Candidates must have five credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English Language (WAEC, NECO, or GCE)
  2. Candidates must write Chemistry, and any two from Physics, Biology, and Mathematics in JAMB

Computer Science

  1. Candidates must have five credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, English Language plus two other Science subjects from Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science.(WAEC, NECO, or GCE)
  2. Candidates must write Mathematics, Physics plus Biology, Chemistry, or Agricultural Science in JAMB.

Environmental Sciences

  1.  Five credit passes including Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Geography. (WAEC, NECO, or GCE)
  2. Chemistry, Biology, and any of Physics and Mathematics. (JAMB)

Geology

  1. Five credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English Language (WAEC, NECO, or GCE).
  2. Any three of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and Geography (JAMB).

Geophysics

  1.  Five credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English Language (WAEC, NECO, or GCE).
  2. Physics and two other subjects from Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology(JAMB)

Industrial Chemistry

  1. Five credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English Language(WAEC, NECO, or GCE).
  2. Chemistry, Mathematics, and anyone from Physics, Biology, and Agricultural Science (JAMB)
