Programme Overview

Location and Duration – This internship will take place in Nigeria and will last for a non-renewable period of 12 months.

Programme Objectives

The Postgraduate Research Internship program is carefully designed to serve a dual purpose:

1. Providing talented Nigerians with an opportunity to gain practical work experience
2. Creating an environment for conducting research with significant value within the realm of SPDC.

Who Can Apply?

The eligibility criteria for this esteemed programme are as follows:

1. The programme primarily targets outstanding Nigerian postgraduate students currently enrolled in Nigerian universities.
2. While the main focus is on local students, in exceptional cases, Nigerians pursuing education abroad may also be considered.
3. Age restrictions are as follows: Master’s Degree applicants must be under 30 years, and Ph.D. candidates should be under 35 years as of January 2nd, 2024.
4. Previous participants of this programme should refrain from reapplying, as their applications will not be considered.

Research Areas

The research opportunities under this program encompass a variety of fields, including:

1. Environment: This area emphasizes Impact Assessment and the critical realm of Environmental Compliance Monitoring.
2. Oil Spill Response: A pivotal area focusing on Ground Water Remediation techniques.
