UNIUYO part-time Undergraduate programs run for five years for UTME candidates and four years for Direct Entry candidates, while the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, lasts for about six years for UTME candidates and five years for Direct Entry candidates, respectively.
How to Apply for UNIUYO Part-Time Admission Form
Interested candidates are expected to pay a non-refundable sum of N7,500.00 (Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Naira) only via the Remita Payment Platform.
Online Registration and Payment Instruction
Please take time to properly read this before clicking the application button below. For your application, adhere to the guidelines listed below.
1. Visit uniuyo.edu.ng or http://uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals. (Press the link for the e-portals.)
2. Click the link to the admission forms (on the sidebar).
3. Choose the e-Form(s) option.
4. Choose Admission Type as the Admission Form Type. Examples include Certificate, Diploma, Part-Time (UTME), Part-Time (DE), Sandwich, Postgraduate Diploma, Masters, and Doctorate Degree (Part-time).
5. Please enter your phone number. Identify name and email
6. To complete payment, click the MAKE PAYMENT button.
7. You can use the Remita Platform to make payments online or at a bank branch. Once you’ve paid, go back to the web portal and select the REGISTER LINK link.
8. Take note of the credentials you generated for easy access.
9. Proceed to finish registering by logging in
Admission Requirements for the UNIUYO Part-Time Application Form
1. All eligible candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes including English Language and Mathematics as well as any other subject related to the course of study. He or she must possess the following results; WAEC, NECO, and GCE.
2. Applicants should have at least a score of 180 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
3. All applicants to gain admission into any program of their choice must meet the required academic subject combination stipulated by by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
4. All applicants must do well to undergo the Qualification screening exercise at the University of Uyo.
Depending on the choice of program, the undergraduate program runs for about 4 to 5 years and the Direct entry program runs for about 4 years.
Direct Entry Candidates
1. To be eligible for Direct Entry admission, candidates must meet certain requirements set forth by the department. These include passing the English Language course and five other subjects with credit passes, having completed at least two (2) A/Level papers, having a National Certificate in Education (NCE), a National Diploma, or an equivalent University Diploma (at acceptable levels) in related fields, plus (WASC/NECO/GCE) or its equivalent at no more than two sittings.
2. The photocopies of the candidates’ 2024/2025 UTME Direct Entry SLIPS must be attached.
3. Additionally, candidates must send photocopies of the following paperwork to the Administrative Secretary at the University of Uyo, Uyo, School of Continuing Education and Professional Studies, in a large envelope.
4. Credentials (UTME Direct Entry Slip, O-Level certificate and the certificate that entitles you to Direct Entry).
5. It is necessary that candidates will go through the University of Uyo certification process.
6. Hard copies of all applicant credentials should be sent to the Administrative Secretary at the University of Uyo, Uyo, School of Continuing Education and Professional Studies.
Required Materials to Bring to the Screening Exercise
1. Ensure that you come along with one copy of the University of Uyo online registration form duly complete and accurate with a passport photograph printed in color. Note that only the color printout will be accepted during your screening exercise.
2. All applicants must bring along with them 2 recent passport-size photographs on a red background. The passport must be the same as the one you used during the online registration.
3. Don’t forget to write your name and sign on the back of each passport as this is very important.
4. Remember to bring a quarto-sized envelope because that is where all the paperwork will be kept. Your name and department will be written on the envelope.
5. All candidates should bring along with them an HB Pencil, sharpener, and an Eraser.
