ABU Admission Requirements through UTME
Candidates for the UTME in 2024 must fulfill the following criteria in order to be admitted to Ahmadu Bello University:
- Candidates must be 16 years of age or older.
- A minimum of 6 (six) “Cs (Credits)” marks are required on the O’level result(s). This needs to cover three additional subjects pertinent to their course of study in addition to English and math. For example, a candidate who wishes to pursue a career in law must earn a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics, and English Literature.
- In the JAMB UTME exam, candidates must receive a minimum score of 120.
- Candidates must take the ABU post-UTME screening test and must do exceptionally well on it (depending on their degree of study).
- When applying to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), only one set of results will be approved.
- The appropriate subject pairing for the candidate’s courses must be chosen.
- Lastly, in order to be admitted to the university, applicants must achieve the required cutoff scores for their respective courses.
ABU Admission Requirements through Direct Entry
Candidates must fulfill the following conditions in order to be admitted directly into Ahmadu Bello University (ABU):
- The minimum number of credits a candidate must have in their O-level score is five (5). Mathematics and English are both required in this. Two sitting results are not permitted, nevertheless.
- Candidates must also be at least 16 years old.
- To apply, candidates must obtain a JAMB Directly entrance form from JAMB.
- Any of the following certificates should be held by candidates: Cambridge, OND, ND, NCE, IJMB ICAN, BSc, HND, and A levels.
