Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic HND Admission Form 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic in Ikot Osurua has announced that the HND admission form for the 2024/2025 academic year is now available. Only qualified applicants who merit admission are permitted to use this form. The application form only costs 7,700 naira only. The HND application form for the current academic year at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, is the same as the previous sessions with a few small changes that, in most cases, don’t even reflect.

Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic HND Courses and Entry Requirement

1. SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCESHigher National Diploma in

  • Computer Science
  • Statistics
  • Science Lab Technology with options in:
    • Chemistry
    • Biochemistry
    • Physics with electronics
    • Microbiology
    • Environmental Biology
(1a) The entry requirement for the Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Statistics, and Science Laboratory Technology is at least a Lower Credit pass at the National Diploma level from a Computer Science, Statistics, or Science Laboratory Technology program that has received accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). Candidates must have met the minimal requirements for the National Diploma Programmes in Computer Science, Statistics, and Science Laboratory Technology, respectively, and must have successfully completed the one-year post-ND Industrial Work Experience.(1b) Candidates who have successfully completed an NBTE-accredited program for the National Diploma in Statistics, Computer Science, or Science Laboratory Technology and can provide documentation of at least two years of post-ND industry work experience are also eligible to apply.
2. SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIESHigher National Diploma in:

  • Accountancy
  • Business Administration
  • Office Technology and Management
(2a) The entry requirement for the Higher National Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration, and Office Technology and Management is at least a Lower Credit Pass at the National Diploma level from an NBTE-accredited Accountancy, Business Administration, or Office Technology and Management program, as appropriate. Candidates must have met the minimal requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Accounting, Business Administration, and Office Technology and Management, as well as completed the one-year post-ND industrial work experience.(2b) Candidates who have completed the National Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or Office Technology & Management with a Pass grade and can provide documentation of at least two years of post-ND industry work experience are also eligible to apply.
3. SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION ARTSHigher National Diploma in:

  • Mass Communication
(3a) A Lower Credit Pass in National Diploma in Mass Communication from a mass communication program that has received NBTE accreditation is the minimum criterion for admission to the Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication. Candidates also needed to have met the minimal requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Mass Communication and finished the one-year post-ND industry work experience.(3b) Candidates who have completed the National Diploma in Mass Communication with a Pass grade and can provide documentation of at least two years of post-ND industrial job experience are also welcome to apply.
4. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERINGHigher National Diploma in:

  • Electrical/Electronics Engineering with an option in:

Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering

(4a) A National Diploma at a Lower Credit level in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a program that has received NBTE accreditation is the minimum criterion for admission to the Higher National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering program. Additionally, candidates must have met the minimum requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and successfully completed the one-year Industrial Work Experience Scheme.(4b) Applicants who have at least two years of post-ND industry work experience and have earned a National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with Pass grades are also welcome to submit their applications.
5. SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIESHigher National Diploma in:

  • Architectural Technology
  • Building Technology
  • Estate Management and Valuation
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Urban and Regional Planning
(5a) The minimum requirement for entry into the Higher National Diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, and Urban and Regional Planning is a National Diploma at a Lower Credit level from one of the programs in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, or Urban and Regional Planning that have received NBTE accreditation. The applicant must have met the minimum requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, or Urban and Regional Planning, as well as successfully completed the one-year Industrial Work Experience Scheme.(5b) Applicants who have completed a National Diploma with a Pass grade in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, or Urban and Regional Planning and who have at least two years of post-ND industry work experience are also welcome to submit an application.

N/B:  Students who earned a National Diploma in Marketing, Banking & Finance, or Public Administration are also eligible to apply for admission to the High National Diploma in Accountancy and Business Administration program.

General Eligibility For Akwa Ibom State Poly HND Admission Form

  1. Original copy of SSCE/NECO/GCE certificate (s)
  2. Original copy of ND certificate or Certified Statement of ND Result.
  3. Original copy of Certificate of origin.
    Two file jackets
  4. Two passports photograph.
  5. Evidence of completion of post-ND one-year industrial attachment.
  6. All applicants shall be expected to adhere to Covid-19 protocol throughout the duration of the exercise.

Steps to Apply for the  Akwa Poly HND Admission Form 2024/2025

1. Candidates should go to the school’s website, http://www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng, click on the online application link, and then create an invoice with the relevant information.

  • Name of the candidate
  • Phone numbers of the candidate

2. Candidates should visit the banks below with their invoice to purchase an electronic PIN and make a payment of N 7,700 (seven thousand seven hundred nairas). (excluding bank charges and other fees).

  • United Bank for Africa (UBA)
  • Zenith Bank
  • Diamond Bank

3. As a result, to complete the application, go to http://www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng and enter the pin you just got. Then, follow the procedures below.

4. To complete the application, highlight “Admissions” and choose “Application Forms.” Then, choose the program of your choosing and enter the PIN (Confirmation Order) you received in the corresponding field.

5. Every application MUST be finished by Friday at the latest.

6. This procedure can be started and finished by applicants nationwide.

7. The names of all selected kids will be posted online, and on August 15th, they will take an aptitude exam.

HND Candidates must:

  • Include a letter of industrial attachment valid for one year.
  • An official transcript from ND is required to be given to the Registrar.
