BMU Post UTME Requirements
All applications will be considered based on results equivalents and requirements as provided by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) as well as the BMU admission criteria.
All prospective students are advised to follow the guidelines governing the admission process and seek any required clarifications. Any applicant who fails to take part in the screening exercise will not be considered for admission.
Only candidates who score the required JAMB cut-off mark for Bayelsa Medical University and choose the school as their first choice in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible to apply for admission.
You will be eligible to apply for admission if you did not choose the University as your first choice and are willing to change and make Bayelsa Medical University your first choice institution on JAMB portal.

How to Apply for BMU Post UTME Form 2024/2025
All prospective candidates who applied for admission into Bayelsa Medical University, Yenagoa (BMU) as their institution of First Choice and those willing to change their institution and make Bayelsa Medical University their First Choice with a UTME score of 140 and above in the 2024 JAMB UTME are required to apply online at https://my.bmu.edu.ng/application/login and pay for the Bayelsa Medical University screening exercise online application form at a fee of N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only using their ATM debit cards on Interswitch.
The screening exercise for all candidates would be done strictly ONLINE by screening of qualifying results of candidates. Candidates are expected to fill the online application form, scan and upload the following documents during registration:
- 2024 Year’s UTME Result Slip
- O’level Result(s) with credit in the relevant subjects
- WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Scratch Card(s) details as applicable
- B.Sc/HND/ND/NCE/A’Level Certificate (Direct Entry Candidates Only)
- Birth Certificate/Statutory Declaration of Age Certificate
- Certificate of Origin
- Passport Photograph
Candidates with the relevant certificates such as B.Sc/HND/ND/NCE/A’Level (IJMB, JUPEB and Institute of Baccalaureate) Certificate may be considered for admission by Direct Entry. BMU also admits students from other universities with the appropriate CGPA through Inter-University Transfer.
