What is Adult Education?

Adult education is the practice of adults engaging in organized and ongoing self-educational activities to acquire new kinds of knowledge, skills, attitudes, or values.

It can refer to any type of learning that people do outside of the classroom, from fundamental literacy to ensuring one’s fulfillment as a lifelong learner.

In particular, adult education reflects a particular attitude about teaching and learning based on the presumption that adults can and want to learn, that they are capable of and ready to take responsibility for the learning, and that the learning itself should address their needs.

To achieve social justice and equal access to education, the main goal of adult education is to give those who are underprivileged in society a second chance by giving them access to education if they have been denied it for other reasons.

Adult education is therefore frequently a government social policy. Those who pursue continuing education may be able to keep up with changes in their area, complete requirements for jobs, and maintain credentials.

The Bachelor of Adult Education is a competitive program. Understanding the requirements will help you register easily and prevent any avoidable blunders.
