Candidates for the postgraduate program must meet the following requirements:-
Post-Graduate Diploma Programs
The following qualify for admission to the post-graduate Diploma.
- Candidates must be graduates of Kwara State University or other recognized Universities.
- Candidates who hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) (not HD) with a minimum credit pass or its equivalent in relevant areas can apply.
- Candidates with other qualifications that are acceptable to the Board of School of Postgraduate Studies and Senate of the University can apply.
- Candidate must satisfy the University’s requirements for matriculation.
- The PGD Programme covers a minimum of 2 semesters and a maximum of 4 semesters.
Master’s Degree (Academic and Professional)
- Candidates must be graduates of Kwara State University or other accredited universities with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division.
- Candidates with Second Class Lower Division may be considered for admission on the condition that they sit for a qualifying examination.
- Candidate must meet the university’s requirements for matriculation in addition to the requirements listed above.
M.PHIL/PH.D.
- Candidates for the Pre-Ph.D. Degree Program must have a Master’s degree with a minimum of 50 to 59.99% Cumulative (Weighted) Average.

- Candidates applying for the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)degree program should have obtained a Master’s degree with a minimum Cumulative (Weighted) Average Score of 60%.
