UNICAL Admission Requirements for UTME Candidates 2024/2025

Read below for the admission requirements for UTME candidates who want to study at the University of Calabar (UNICAL):

  1. Candidates are required to have an O’level Credit in 5(five) different subjects (English Language and Mathematics inclusive). This could be in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB or any equivalent result.
  2. Candidates must score up to 180 to qualify for UNICAL post-UTME screening.
  3. Candidates are required to have selected the University of Calabar (UNICAL) their first choice of institution. Second-choice candidates will be considered when offering admission.
  4. Candidates are expected to choose the correct and official subject combination for their courses to be offered admission into the University of Calabar.
  5. Candidates must participate in UNICAL post UTME screening and must pass the test excellently well.

N/B: The University of Calabar accepts two sittings result for admission. This means that you can use, at most, two O’level results to apply for admission.

UNICAL Admission Requirements For Direct Entry Candidates 2024/2025

Read below for the admission requirements for Direct Entry candidates who want to study at the University of Calabar (UNICAL):

  1. Direct entry candidates are expected to have two A’level passes or two NCE passes in subjects relevant to their preferred course of study
  2. Direct entry candidates are required to participate in UNICAL Post UTME screening for all aspirants.
  3. Candidates are expected to purchase and register for UNICAL direct entry through JAMB direct entry form.

N/B: Direct Entry and UTME candidates seeking admission into the University of Calabar after they have been offered admission are required to pay the acceptance fee within the stipulated time by the school.
