Admission Requirements For Geology

Candidates are admitted into the Department of geology either through the entrance mode (JAMB) or by Direct Entry (DE), for a five (5) year, and a four (4) year program respectively.

Students seeking admission to study Geology are required to have a credit pass in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their SSCE or NECO Certificate.

Direct entry candidates, in addition to the above requirements, should have G.C.E. Advanced Level passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, or Higher School Certificate (H.S.C) in Geology and any two of the following;

  1. Mathematics
  2. Physics, Chemistry
  3. Biology
  4. Geography.
