To apply University of the Free State Online Application, you will need the following:

How To Apply for the University of the Free State Application Form

Using your online application

1. Visit this page: https://www.ufs.ac.za

2. Evidence that the registration cost was paid (required for candidates from South Africa and abroad).

3. Certified copy of your ID document (a certified copy of your ID is required for South African citizens; for international applicants, your passport number and ID document must be included for processing);

4. Results of the exam: Final Grade 12 results (if available). For your application, your grade 11 results—if you’re presently in grade 12—are crucial. Have it with you as a result.

5. Don’t forget that while applying online or in paper copy, you’ll need a distinct email address.

When to Apply for University of the Free State Application Forms 2024

University of the Free State Application Forms will open from April to November 2024.

Here are the University of the Free State  Admission Requirements:

To enter the NVC at NQF Level 2, you need to have:

1. An authorized bridging program was created especially for accessing NQF Level 2,

2. A year-end report for Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12,

3. An NQF Level 1 certification, or

4. An evaluation of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to satisfy the prerequisites for NQF Level 2 access.

For the 2024 academic year, applicants who wish to study at the University of Free State must meet the following minimal prerequisites for admission. Note that all conditions for admission are subject to change at any time without notice.

1. For English as a home language or as a first additional language, a level 4 (50%) is necessary.

2. A minimum AP score of 32 is required for all BSc programs, except those in geology;

3. Possess both the life sciences and physical sciences at Level 5 (60%) for all BSc programs and possess a performance

4. Level of 5 (60%) in mathematics, unless otherwise specified.

Courses with a Full Time Rating

Upon enrollment, you must pay the application fee (for new students only) and the departmental fee.

Every new application has to be submitted with:

1. Authenticated copy of most recent transcripts, results, or grade 12 or N3 certificate.

2. Six certified copies of the ID of the Learner.

3. Two certified copies of your parent/guardian’s ID If you are younger than 18 years

4. A single student ID-sized picture.

Each year in April, the application cycle opens. It is advisable to submit applications as early as feasible.
